What type of Awards do we have?

Communication Awards for Excellence:

• Bronze
• Silver
• Gold
• Platinum

The Communication Awards for Excellence are designed to identify specific campaigns or communications projects that have been effectively researched, planned, implemented and measured. These campaigns must be specifically aimed at members and could potentially encompass the following aspects:

• Short term or ongoing campaigns (dates of qualification are 01/07/2008 – 30/06/2009)
• Educational campaign
• Awareness campaign
• Crisis communication campaign
• Call to action campaign
• Rebuilding reputation campaign
• Influencing changes in member behaviour

Judges will be looking for the following aspects:

• Success of the overall goal and objective of the communication project
• Effective implementation of the Strategy of the project
• Results of the project
• Rationale of research to support the project
• Effectiveness of the project
• Vision of the project
• Did members benefit from the campaign?
• Did the industry benefit from the campaign?

Individual Awards for Excellence:

• Super Business Development Professional Award for Excellence
• Super Compliance Professional Award for Excellence
• Super Investment Professional Award for Excellence
• Super Marketing Professional Award for Excellence
• Super Operations/Administration Professional Award for Excellence

The Individual Super Professional Awards for Excellence are designed to identify specific individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence and professionalism in the delivery of service to their organisation and members.  Nominations must be made by the CEO of the fund.  CEO’s may choose to delegate the responsibility of the nomination to whomever they wish, however nominations must be endorsed by the CEO in writing.  This is to ensure that these nominations are carefully considered by the funds to reward the most relevant staff member.

CEOs should consider which employees have demonstrated the following characteristics throughout the year:

• Demonstrated leadership
• Successfully managed through a difficult task
• Exceptional customer service
• Meeting or exceeding key performance indicators
• Assisted organisation to achieve or exceed business goals

Judges will be looking for the following aspects:

• Demonstration of clear understanding of goals and purpose of the their role within the organisation
• Strives for continuous improvement in their role
• Ability to manage a difficult situation or task to positive resolution
• Provides mentoring or leadership to peers and colleagues
• Commitment to exceeding customer needs
• Meeting key performance indicators
• Ability to solve problems

Team Award for Excellence:

The Super Team Award for Excellence is designed to identify specific teams within funds who have demonstrated outstanding excellence and professionalism in the delivery of service to their organisation and members.  Nominations must be made by the CEO of the fund.  CEO’s may choose to delegate the responsibility of the nomination to whomever they wish, however nominations must be endorsed by the CEO in writing.  This is to ensure that these nominations are carefully considered by the funds to reward the most relevant staff member or team.  CEO’s and senior management should consider which teams have demonstrated the following characteristics throughout the year:

• Collectively undertaking a project, successfully
• Showing commitment to achieving goals
• Being accountable to the team
• Having a shared vision
• Contribution to members

Judges will be looking for the following aspects:

• Understanding of team purpose and objectives
• Quality of output of work of the team
• Commitment to delivering services and or products on time
• Collective individual accountability to the team and organisation
• Flexibility and innovation in finding solutions to difficult or complex situations
• Working together in a collaborative manner
• Contribution to the growth of the business
